Video Transcript: Pleural Mesothelioma Wears Away at The Body

Andrew was a very stocky man because he played football. He weighed about 190 pounds, solid. He was firm. He started to lose that every day. He was getting weaker, and weaker and weaker every single day. I didn’t know what to do. I think I prayed more than anything during that time. Mesothelioma ate away at every part of his muscle. When I looked at him, I looked at nothing but bones, just pure bones. I would go every week to Sears to get something that would fit him. I had even gone back to the juniors sections at Sears for my husband. He knew that he was getting weak. He knew that it was affecting him. He would ask me all the time, "Latanyta, do I look bad?" Knowing in my eyes he was my husband, and there wouldn’t be anything that I would say to him that I thought would hurt him. But, I looked at him as a totally different person from what I married. I cried. I did some crying and praying during that time.
