Video Transcript: Mary Jane Treats Peritoneal Mesothelioma with Surgery and Chemotherapy

September 3rd was my first surgery.  Dr. Taub was my oncologist and Dr. Chabot was my surgeon. I had extensive surgery and then I had five months of chemo. When I had my first surgery I had to stay in New York for 17 days. And then I started three weeks after that with my chemo. I had to come to New York almost every week for chemo. I had three different kinds of chemos. Very strong chemos. Mine was not systemic; I had two ports put in just at my rib cage. They had tubes that when all the way down my stomach and had holes in them. The chemo goes directly on your organs. I had that for 5 months. February 3rd, 2004 I had my second surgery. My second surgery, I was clean, I had no tumors and all my biopsies came back clean. It will be February of 2008 that I have been cancer free for four year.
