Video Transcript: Shelly Tells Craig He Has Peritoneal Mesothelioma

We have had a very honest relationship, and I know that he wanted the truth. So, I collected myself, once they brought him out of recovery, and brought him into the room. I crawled in bed with him, I laid next to him and I told him that he had peritoneal mesothelioma. I’m not even sure I pronounced it correctly at the time. He asked me what that was, and I told him it was a type of cancer. He asked me what the doctor said as far as treatment, and I told him there really wasn’t anything out there that the doctors knew about.... that he might need to go into a clinical trial. So, Craig being Craig, he said, "If there is a trial out there, we’ll find it and I will beat it."
