Video Transcript: Mary Jane Discusses the Importance of Finding a Mesothelioma Specialist
With me, they could never find anything. I had the scans; I had every test that could be done. And they never found anything. My general doctor was so good. I kept thinking people are going to think that I am a hypochondriac. But, it got to the point, if I sat, I couldn’t stand up straight. It was like my insides were glued. But, he never game up on me. So, if you are not happy with a doctor--the doctor is saying its nerves, or it’s something... you know it’s not right--then you go to someone else. And you keep going to someone else until they find out what it is.... because the same scans that all my doctors and the radiologists saw in Springfield were the same ones I took to my meso doctors, and they saw it right away. So you have to have a specialist that deals with it. Because most doctors don’t see it, so they don’t know what to look for. So you have to go. You just keep going until you find one. If you’re not happy with your doctor, go someplace else.
