Video Transcript: Pleural Mesothelioma Treated With Chemotherapy, Radiation and Surgery
Basically, I didn’t get anything like a prognosis of health conditions or a lifespan. That wasn’t mentioned. The only thing that was mentioned was treatments and how I would be treated. This led to having chemotherapy and radiation at that time. This began in May of 2002.....which lasted approximately 9 months for the chemotherapy treatments, and the radiation lasted about 4 weeks. Then I had a stop-growth period where there was nothing advancing with it. I had no more problems with it until March of 2006, when I wound up with tumors in my intestines. I had 20 inches of my small intestines removed at that time. After that period of time I went back into other treatments with chemotherapy for 9 months and proceeded on with 30 days of radiation treatment recently.
