Video Transcript: Woman Develops Peritoneal Mesothelioma After Second-Hand Asbestos Exposure

Asbestos was put into your insulation in your home. Asbestos was also insulating your pipes. Asbestos was a great measure and cheap to use, so it was everywhere. Exposure to drywall, Bondex, brake dust. Residential, like heating and cooling or any heating and cooling, really. I also believe working at places like the shipyards. I got peritoneal mesothelioma from (second-hand asbestos exposure while) working with my dad. He was a subcontractor, and he used to take us with him on his job sites. And my husband, my ex-husband, used to work on cars. He changed brakes and motor oil... did pretty much like a mechanic. He was a shade-tree mechanic.
